Stuffed mushrooms can go bland or soggy real quick, so I dialed in this seafood version with shrimp, crab, and a creamy filling that sets up instead of leaking. I’ve made enough party appetizers over the years to know texture matters just as much as flavor, and these hold up from oven to table without falling apart. The filling is seasoned intentionally because yall know I don’t do bland meals!

Seafood Stuffed Mushrooms Ingredients
- Mushrooms
- Shrimp
- Lump Crab Meat
- Cream Cheese
- Parmesan Reggiano Cheese
- Mozzarella Cheese
- Worcestershire sauce
- Garlic
- Old Bay Seasoning, salt, and pepper

How to Make Seafood Stuffed Mushrooms
Full detailed instructions are below in the recipe card.
- Cut the stem out of the mushroom to prepare it for stuffing. I first chop off the stem, and then make a circular cut around the area where the stem was. Continue to cut until you have removed excess mushroom.
- Combine the softened cream cheese, shrimp, crab, shredded cheese, Old Bay, salt, pepper, garlic, and Worcestershire sauce in a medium bowl. Stir to combine. I like to reserve some of the Parmesan for the mushroom topping at the end.
- Stuff the mushrooms with the cheese mixture.
- Bake or air fry.

Frequently Asked Questions and Recipe Pro Tips
I like to use real jumbo lump crab meat. Check out our post, What is Lump Crab Meat.
Be sure to check out our guides on Shrimp Size Guide and Counts Per Pound and How to Tell if Shrimp is Bad.
I like large shrimp cut into 1 inch chunks.
Yes. Chop and cook the shrimp before mixing it into the filling. It keeps the texture tender and prevents overcooking in the oven.
Baby bella or white button mushrooms hold up great and have the perfect size-to-filling ratio.
Can I make them ahead of time?
Absolutely. Stuff the mushrooms, cover, and refrigerate up to 24 hours. Bake right before serving.
I don’t recommend it. Mushrooms release water when they thaw and the filling texture changes. They’re best fresh or prepped ahead and chilled.
Any of your favorite cheese will work best. Parmesan gives sharp, salty flavor. Cream cheese keeps it creamy. Mozzarella melts and stretches. Use a combination so it actually tastes like something.
Leftovers can be stored tightly covered and sealed for 3-4 days.
You can reheat them in the microwave. You can also reheat them in the air fryer at 350 degrees until warm or in the oven at 350 degrees until warm.
You freeze them for up to 3 months tightly covered and sealed. Defrost in the fridge overnight.
