SIMPLE SEAFOOD RECIPES

This Creamy Shrimp and Corn Chowder is irresistible comfort food at its finest! 👉

INGREDIENTS

– Bacon  – Unsalted butter – All-purpose flour – Celery – 1/2 cup chopped celery – Chopped onions – Garlic cloves  – Broth or stock (seafood, chicken, or vegetable stock) – Potatoes  – Onion powder *all ingredients listed below

STEP 1

Heat a Dutch oven or soup pot on medium heat and add bacon. Cook until browned and crisp.

STEP 2

Remove bacon. Add butter to the pot on medium heat. When melted, add the flour in stages.

STEP 3

Add celery, onions, and carrots to the roux and stir. Add garlic.  Cook until the garlic is fragrant.

STEP 4

Add in broth/stock, potatoes, corn, Old Bay Seasoning, salt, and pepper to taste and stir.

STEP 5

Remove the lid and add in heavy cream and milk/half and half. Add in the shrimp and serve!
